COMMON TRAVEL TIPS
Here are a few extra tips to consider while you are traveling domestically and abroad.
Don't Let Language Barriers Deter You
Use phone translators or apps to learn some common local phrases. You will understand the locals better and find it easier to go about your trip. A human translator is another option as well, even though it might cost more.
Always Take an Extra Debit/Credit Card
Always bring a backup card just in case yours gets stolen or you get robbed. Being stuck in a state or country far away without access to money is the worst case scenario.
If You Don't Think You Need It, You Probably Don't
The lighter your bag(s), the better. You can buy any necessary items in most places. Don't sacrifice a heavy bag for your comfort down the road.
Pack a Small Travel First Aid Kit
Err on the safe side and bring a few items from a First Aid kit. You never know when you might need minor medical attention. Cold medication, bandages, antibiotic ointment, ibuprofen, and a thermometer are suggested items.
Go To The Places You Want to Go
If a certain destination interests you, make a plan to visit it. Do what you want to do and see what you want to see. Just because it might not be a typical tourist attraction, doesn't mean it's not interesting
